016.jpgJesus spoke to the disciples that “If I do not wash your feet, you will have no part in me” (John 13:8). HE revealed this after HE washed the feet of his disciples with water from a basin and wiped clean with HIS garment. A physical encounter like this carries spiritual implications. The disciples were just blessed with in-depth revelation knowledge, whereby cleaned hands and a pure heart (Ps 24:4) come from God’s grace alone. With this spiritual cleansing, will one able to ascend into the hill (Ps 24:3) of God and be closed to HIM.

This closeness or bonding with God is made possible as God breaks the barriers in our lives. All of this will take place in reality if we ask God for it. Peter and Judas Iscariot had their feet washed, but they made a different decision in thanking God. Peter’s love for God rekindled, when Jesus re-appeared before HIM and he openly declares his duty to care for HIS sheep. Judas’s love died when he loved money more, over HIS master and silently betrayed HIM.

All of us have received the same grace and spiritual cleansing, but showing our appreciation to God is necessary. A simple manner of thanksgiving is relying on God to fight the spiritual warfare and believing HIM in providing the victory. Trying to do this on our own, means we have opted for a silent declaration of our unbelief on HIS capabilities. “The sting of death is sin, and the strength of the sin is the law (1 Cor 15:56)”. We can follow all the laws stated in the Bible accordingly, but doing them in the absence of God, is living in the presence of darkness.

God is asking for us to return back to our first love, when we craved so much of God. Yes, when we first knew God and were saved. Having a part of God in us is like having HIM reigning in our homes, our workplaces and our ministries. The cry from our hearts should be for spiritual cleansing, and be present before God without spots and blemishes like HIS Son, Jesus. Wash us, more than our feet alone, oh God! So that our eyes will see you, our ears will hear you and our hearts will treasure your Words. Thank you, oh God!

It seems prayer still upsets some people. Please read….

When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the

Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but

this is what they heard;

“Heavenly Father,

We come before you today

To ask your forgiveness and

To seek your direction and guidance.

We know Your Word says,

“Woe to those who call evil good”

But that is exactly what we have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium

And reversed our values.

We have exploited the poor and

Called it the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness

And called it welfare.

We have killed our unborn

and called it choice.

We have shot abortionists

And called it justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline

Our children and called it

Building self esteem.

We have abused power

And called it politics.

We have coveted our neighbor’s

Possessions and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air

With profanity and

Pornography and called it

Freedom of speech and expression.

We have ridiculed the time

Honored values of our

Forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God,

And know our hearts today;

Cleanse us from every sin

And set us free.

The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked Out

during the prayer in protest.

In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is

pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 Of those

calls responding negatively. The church is now receiving

international requests for copies of this prayer from India , Africa and Korea .

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio Program, “The

Rest of the Story,” and received a larger response to this program

than any other he has ever aired.

With the Lord’s help, may this prayer sweep over our Nation and

wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called “one

nation under God.”

If possible, please pass this prayer on to your friends “If you

don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.”

Think about this: If you forward this prayer to everyone On your

email list, in less than 30 days it would be heard by The world.

056.jpgAlthough my depression is gone I still get very tired. But I praise the Lord because there is no dark cloud surrounding my mind and thoughts.

This morning I was very slow, and knew that I had to pace myself and trust God this day. Learning to live day by day is very good for patience. My times are in His Hands and the bible clearly states that we are not to worry about tomorrow for there are enough troubles for today. How true!

As I write this I am hearing on the news that the 15 british soldiers have been freed. Praise the Lord! Answers to many prayers I believe no matter what the world thinks

As I was tidying up this morning I came across the only plant I have in the house and all the leaves were drooping over the edge of my small plant pot. I couldn’t believe it I have tried so hard to remember to water it! I had been given this plant as a gift from a church member I love and was so determined to not let it die.

Immediately I took it to the tap and watered it. I tidied up the leaves and pulled the old ones off that I knew had died. I could see new shoots coming through and hoped I had saved it. This particular plant I know has to be watered every day. In my distractions I had forgotten yesterday.

Psalm 1 verses 1 – 3

“Happy are those who reject the advice of evil people, who do not follow the example of sinners or join those who have no use for God.

Instead they find joy in obeying the Law of the Lord, and they study it day and night.

They are like trees that grow beside a stream, that bear fruit at the right time, and whose leaves do not dry up.

They succeed in everything they do.”

How distracted to you get from God, are you a Martha or a Mary. Yesterday I was a Martha concerned about everything looking a mess in my house but I praise the Lord again because He sent me my daughter Helen who cleaned my flat not only that she did it in record time. It was such a blessing believe me, I so thank God for her. To me this was a miracle. I also didn’t mind her telling me that she was younger too! She is by 20 years! Oh the energy of youth!

When God tells me to rest He really makes sure I do and provides everything to ensure this rest. I have fought this for so long feeling frustrated by my physical and mental incapabilities. But you see in God’s wisdom He wanted me to slow down to get to know Him personally on a much deeper level and to learn to trust, love, encourage and most of all know that He is my Shepherd. As a result of my daughter helping me out yesterday I was able to go to my art class in the afternoon which I use for therapy. I know sometime in the future this gift for art God has given me will be used for His Glory. It is a door which has been opened by Him and I want to at last receive all the good things He has for me instead of rejecting them in fear.

Love casts out all fear. An ongoing lesson, but one I feel that many christians like myself struggle with, which is why it is so wonderful to share my life and every day experiences with God, my family, my daughter, my life. It truely is a pleasure to share and hear about other peoples lives. I try my best to remember you and get to know you all personally. I know I cannot do things in my own strength, the number of friends have increased beyond what I had envisioned. I trust God will guide me each day to those in need for that particular moment or time. Timing is everything to God, it is His timing that is the miracle. A word, a picture, a letter, a hello at a specific time can mean the world to someone, can lift them up and see them through another day.

I have just gone back in my bedroom and checked on it so I can tell you of it’s condition and would you believe it every leaf has come back to life. Unbelievable!

As David the Psalmist speaks in his very first psalm find joy in studying God’s Word day and night and like the plant in my bedroom it will thrive and live. It will bear fruit and you will succeed in everything you do.

This morning also the Lord reminded me that He is in control!

Keep close to Jesus, do not follow the example of people who have no use for God, in otherwords do not cast your pearls to swines. Save your energy for God’s Glory and you will reap eternal blessings where moth and rust will not destroy.

Have a blessed day and just to let you know I love you all and forgive me if I can’t get round to all of you all the time. Slowly I am getting to know you and you me. Let’s encourage and love one another then the world will truely see that we are Jesus’ disciples. This is the New Commandment from Him let us do this in peace, not quarrelling about worldly philosophies which have no place in our lives.

Walk in the Holy Spirit. He will guide you into all Grace and Truth!

002.jpg“The Passion of Christ” is to be shown on TV over this Easter period here in the UK.

I mentioned to my husband that my daughter who doesn’t go to church (still praying ernestly) said that a lot of christians hate this film, they think it’s too violent!

When I watched it I was captivated because I think it gets to grips with the horror and abuse of what Jesus had to face as God and Man. What price He really had to pay to deal with our sins.

This Easter has so much more meaning and depth for me than ever before in my christian life. The death and ressurection is truely the most momemtuous true life event that has ever happened to this earth.

Unbelievable but TRUE!

Praise the Lord !!

Taste and See that the Lord is good!

The CruxifictionEaster the Hidden Festival

I have one marker in my bible in the Old Testament and another in the New Testament. I have a marker around Nehemiah, Psalms, Isaiah and Joel.

You might be thinking crazy woman. I read a bit from the old and from the new and hey guess what there are no contradictions. God is precise, so precise he repeats so many things to his people so they won’t forget. There was a time many many years ago I used to think I can’t read that again, but now I do! Crazy again you say! No it is repeated for such a good reason. Reinforcement!!!

Last night my reading was how the Priests had all sorts of rituals to deal with the problem of Sin! How this world hates that word. I say it again SIN!!

Boy what a performance the Priests had to do to deal with sin. But God showed them and gave specific instructions. If it wasn’t done right as with Aaron’s sons they were killed – death. Harsh? some may say but on reading the Old Testament I realise what kind of God we are serving.

Yes God is Holy but God goes to such lengths to be with His people. He wants to. He loves them. It is a protective all embracing love but we have to be brought back and our sins covered.

God helps us all the way.

He really does never leave us nor forsake us.

He cannot tolerate evil, wrongdoing do we?!

No when we see our children or people we love do something that brings harm we shout, rant and rave and try to save them. I think we have all been there I have. Our hearts sink low we want them to do right, we want the best for them and we go to any lengths to do it.

God is exactly so, we are made in the image of Him, but the seed of sin has to be dealt with.

This morning I read the beginning book of Luke and the birth of Jesus. As this is Easter week it has taken on a new meaning. It is also the time of the Jewish Passover.

Born in a stable probably among animals, born to Mary and Joseph humble people of God. They were poor as they brought their offerings of doves and pigeons. Everything is humble. Even kings came from afar and worshipped Jesus in the stable. What king today would do that? I wonder?

Christmas is greatly celebrated, people today even know that the name of Jesus is part of christmas… they might not know why but they associate the name to this event. Even back in my own younger years Christmas and Harvest stayed in my mind but Easter well that only had connotations of Easter bonnets and Easter eggs!

My husband Ray yesterday bought me some flowers and a straw made cockrel which he had his eye on in the shops. It’s great it is now sitting on our dining room table as a centre piece, trapped between table mats because otherwise it rolls over! lol

What has this got to do with Easter you might say….. NOTHING!

It was just a sweet gift from my husband which I also happened to like …but this is what the shops are selling at Easter time.

Yes Jesus the baby grew up “The child grew and became strong; he was full of wisdom, and God’s blessings were upon him.” (Luke 2 v 40)

Again around the Passover Festival which so happens to be now in 2007 when Jesus was 12 years old, his parents had to go back to Jerusalem to find Jesus as they thought he had got lost.

No Jesus never got lost!

He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

We are the ones that are lost…. until we find Jesus.

Jesus answers his parents “Why did you have to look for me? Didn’t you know that I had to be in my Father’s house?” (Luke 2 v 49)

‘But they did not understand his answer’ (Luke 2 v 50)

God it seemed hide the truth even from Jesus’ parents …. until the right time.

Jesus grew both in body and in wisdom, gaining favour with God and people. (Luke 2 v 52)

As a christian I am always growing, but only of late…. It is so easy to disconnect ourselves from what God wants…. His Will against our own natural desires. Paul the great preacher and evangelist spoke of this all the time.

As you read my ramblings because that is what they are because I wanted to share a little of what I was reading, a little of my life here in St. Ives England and the journey I have with Jesus as we come up to this Easter time.

It is no accident that I have been reading these sections of the bible because you see Easter I have always struggled with, I don’t know why I just have. But last night as I realised that the problem of sin is such a stumbling block for God to reach us I realised about Jesus.

Having read both Matthew and Mark before Luke ( I like to read in order) I was struck with the leading up to Christ’s cruxifiction and how Jesus no matter what was thrown at him, whoever beat him over the head, He never said a word.

I have always been so drawn to Isaiah 53 how Jesus was despised and rejected, that there was nothing in this world that would attract anyone to him. Sometimes I feel that the world, even the church have so glamourised him without really seeing who He really is.

I mean who would want to look at anyone who is covered in blood from whippings and beatings and receiving so much abuse for being good.

His clothes would have been tattered, torn and yes despised by all those around them

Jesus humble, meek and mild took all this punishment because He knew He was the sacrifice, the perfect sacrifice that would satisfy God for our sins.

Yes our sins, yours and mine.

Was Jesus scared. Yes He knew what he would have to endure. Scripture says so.

But He chose God’s will over how he felt

The word we love to hate.

It had to be paid.

No other perfect offering would do.

This was our last chance.

This is our last chance.

Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life

No-one can come to the Father except through Jesus

003.jpgI Worship you Lord

How beautiful you are

Spirit and Truth Your Gift

Imparted to your beloved

Hearts ascending

Tears descending

Patches of gold dust

Sewn for ever eternal

Precious jewels presented swiftly

Oaks and tender branches

Braided into our lives of pain

Carpet of Myrh swiftly laid

Healing balm

Blown through the mists of love

The Lord is present

His hands cradle

His Creation

Delicate lacings

Heart to heart entwined

The light touch of His eyes

Approve with delight

Crafted with Holiness precision

Adoration marks our hearts

To the wonder of our Father

Crystal clear His throne

Deigned for Truth and perfection

The Lamb curled with the Lion

No Roar
